Hip-Hop Classic #4: Big Pun - Twinz (Deep Cover '98) (Feat. Fat Joe) (Chosen by Mistajam)

'Twinz' is an iconic Hip-Hop track taken from Big Pun's classic album, Capital Punishment, which was released in 1998 on Terror Squad/Loud Records, and saw him become the first solo Latino rapper to go Platinum. The album was executive produced by Pun, Fat Joe and Matt Life, with guest appearances coming from Black Thought, Wyclef Jean, Prodigy, Inspectah Deck, Busta Rhymes, the whole Terror Squad family and many more. This track is a cover of 'Deep Cover' by Dr. Dre, which was Dre's debut single after the N.W.A. break up and features Snoop Dogg making his first ever appearance on record. One of the best tracks from both Big Pun and Fat Joe's back catalogues and a song that holds a dear place in most Hip-Hop lovers hearts. R.I.P. Christopher Lee Rios.

Mistajam: "One of the greatest lyricists of all time - regularly slept on but deserves to be in any HipHop connoisseurs top 20 AT LEAST. This is the easiest example of why Pun was untouchable with the flow"
