Hip-Hop Classic #21: The Notorious B.I.G. - Warning (Chosen by Mikill Pane)

'Warning' is a track taken from The Notorious B.I.G.'s critically acclaimed debut album, Ready To Die, which was released in 1994 on Bad Boy Records. The track was produced by Easy Mo Bee, who was the person that handled most of the production on the album, along with The Hitmen - it features a sample of the brilliant 'Walk On By' by Isaac Hayes. Although the track was never released as a single, it's an iconic Biggie song that opitimises everything that he was about. Ready To Die has been regarded by several music critics as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all-time - it also reached #15 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums. A classic in every sense of the word.

Mikill Pane: "Profane as hell, this one. Classic Biggie. My older sister bought Ready to Die when it was released and I was addicted from the first play. When I rap along to this, I actually feel like I'm transforming into the late Christopher Wallace. I bought my vintage Versace glasses because of this track."
