To kick-off 2015 in style, here is LA-based producer Dino Soccio's stunning edit of one of my favourite tracks from D'Angelo's near flawless third album 'Black Messiah'. This is everything, and more...
Two of my favourite tracks from D'Angelo's third studio album 'Black Messiah' and the 14-year follow-up to 'Voodoo', which dropped (out of nowhere) this morning on RCA. This is everything I could have wished for, and more - make sure you pick up your copy HERE and enjoy another instant classic. One of the greatest artists to ever walk the earth, simple as that.
After announcing that his first album in 14 years is now finished, D'Angelo last night blessed us with some brand new material from the forthcoming 'Black Messiah'. This stunning track should eradicate any fears that D will not be able to provide us a with a worthy follow-up to the iconic 'Voodoo' - slick, smooth and better than anything else we have heard all year. The greatest, is back...
The best House remix of a D'Angelo song that I have ever heard, basically. Free download too - enjoy...
D'Angelo is one of those artists that you shouldn't really touch, and there are very few remixes that do him justice. However, IAMNOBODI knows what he's doing, and this is up there with the best 'Brown Sugar' remixes of all-time. Hot.
Footage of D'Angelo & Questlove performing a special cover of the SOS Band's classic 'Tell Me If You Still Care' at their gig at the Brooklyn Bowl. Probably the greatest ever.
Although it's over a year old, this remix from Simbad is still relatively unknown, and definitely deserves to be revisited. The remix takes a laid back approach to one of the best tracks from Tip's unreleased sophmore album 'Live At The Renaissance'. Too cool.
Pittsburgh producer Shade Cobain takes D'Angelo's 'Devil's Pie' and turns it into a smooth key driven jam, whilst still keeping Preemo's head-nodding vibes throughout. Yes, yes, yes!
